CRAVE ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use the CRAVE iOS app.

1. Information We Collect

CRAVE is designed to keep your data on your device. We collect and process the following:

• Food photos — When you use AI food scanning, your photo is sent to Google's Gemini API solely to identify food and estimate nutrition. Photos are not stored on any CRAVE server.
• Health & nutrition data — Calorie, macro, and food log data you enter is stored locally on your device and optionally synced via your personal iCloud account.
• Subscription status — Managed entirely by Apple. We do not store your payment information.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide nutrition tracking, macro goals, and progress insights within the app.
• To analyze food photos using AI and return nutrition estimates to you.
• To sync your data across your own Apple devices via iCloud Key-Value Storage.

3. Data Storage & Sync

Your nutrition logs, macro goals, streaks, and saved foods are stored locally on your device using iOS system storage. If you are signed into iCloud, this data is synced to your personal iCloud account using Apple's Key-Value Storage — a private, encrypted store only you can access. We have no access to your iCloud data.

4. Third-Party Services

• Google Gemini API — Used to analyze food photos. Images are sent to Google's servers for processing. Google's privacy policy applies to this processing. Images are not retained by CRAVE.
• Apple StoreKit — Handles all subscription purchases. Apple's privacy policy governs payment processing.
• Supabase — Used for referral tracking. If you enter a referral code during onboarding, an anonymous device identifier and referral event are stored on Supabase's servers. No personally identifiable information is included.

We do not use advertising SDKs, analytics platforms, or sell your data to any third party.

5. Camera & Photo Access

CRAVE requests camera access solely for the AI food scanning feature. Photos are processed in real time and sent to the Gemini API for food identification. They are not saved to your photo library, stored on our servers, or shared with any party other than Google's Gemini API for the sole purpose of nutrition analysis.

6. Children's Privacy

CRAVE is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

7. Your Rights

Because your data lives on your device and your personal iCloud account, you have full control over it. You can delete all CRAVE data by uninstalling the app. To remove iCloud synced data, you can manage your iCloud storage from your device Settings.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
